Talas was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the Philippine Sea in 2004. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 74 km/h (40 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 994 hPa. Tracking across the Philippine Seain the Western Pacific basin (, it potentially affected the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan. The storm traveled from approximately 5.9°130.5° to 19.7°177.6°, crossing a range of 14 latitude and 47 longitude.
