Rai was a C2 tropical cyclone that formed in the Philippine Sea in 2021. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 194 km/h (105 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 915 hPa. Tracking across the Philippine Seain the Western Pacific basin (, it potentially affected the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan. The storm traveled from approximately 5.3°110.6° to 21.7°145.0°, crossing a range of 16 latitude and 34 longitude.
