Kulap was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the East China Sea in 2011. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h (35 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 1000 hPa. Tracking across the East China Seain the Western Pacific basin (, it potentially affected Japan, Korea, Taiwan and eastern China. The storm traveled from approximately 18.1°126.9° to 32.0°135.7°, crossing a range of 14 latitude and 9 longitude.
