Ele was a C2 tropical cyclone that formed in the East China Sea in 2002. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 204 km/h (110 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 940 hPa. Tracking across the East China Seain the Western Pacific basin (, it potentially affected Japan, Korea, Taiwan and eastern China. The storm traveled from approximately 9.7°165.3° to 45.2°202.4°, crossing a range of 36 latitude and 37 longitude.
