Ioke was a Category 3 tropical cyclone that formed in the East China Sea and Japan region in 2006. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 259 km/h (140 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 900 hPa tracking across the East China Sea and Japan region in the Western Pacific basin (Northern Hemisphere).
