Maria was a C3 tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2017. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 278 km/h (150 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 908 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 12.2°-73.1° to 48.1°-17.0°, crossing a range of 36 latitude and 56 longitude.
