Omar was a C3 tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2008. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 213 km/h (115 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 958 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 13.9°-69.8° to 38.3°-43.3°, crossing a range of 24 latitude and 26 longitude.
