Maria was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2011. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h (70 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 983 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 11.5°-69.4° to 47.0°-35.9°, crossing a range of 36 latitude and 34 longitude.
