Lorenzo was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2001. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h (35 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 1007 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 27.2°-46.0° to 37.4°-34.9°, crossing a range of 10 latitude and 11 longitude.
