Katia was a Category 1 tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2017. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 167 km/h (90 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 972 hPa tracking across the Gulf of Mexico in the North Atlantic basin (Northern Hemisphere).
