Karl was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2016. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 111 km/h (60 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 980 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 13.1°-65.4° to 45.0°-19.0°, crossing a range of 32 latitude and 46 longitude.
