Kate was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2015. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 139 km/h (75 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 980 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 22.2°-76.3° to 41.9°-45.4°, crossing a range of 20 latitude and 31 longitude.
