Laura was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2008. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h (70 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 990 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 36.5°-48.9° to 57.0°-26.0°, crossing a range of 20 latitude and 23 longitude.
