Gaston was a C2 tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2016. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 194 km/h (105 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 955 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 11.0°-55.4° to 40.9°-19.4°, crossing a range of 30 latitude and 36 longitude.
