Gaston was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2004. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h (65 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 985 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 31.3°-79.6° to 52.0°-28.9°, crossing a range of 21 latitude and 51 longitude.
