Ernesto was a TS tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2006. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h (65 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 985 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 12.7°-81.0° to 46.5°-61.6°, crossing a range of 34 latitude and 19 longitude.
