Erin was a Category 2 tropical cyclone that formed in the North Atlantic open waters in 2001. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 194 km/h (105 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 968 hPa tracking across the North Atlantic open waters in the North Atlantic basin (Northern Hemisphere).
