Erin was a C2 tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2001. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 194 km/h (105 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 968 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 12.5°-65.9° to 65.0°-34.3°, crossing a range of 52 latitude and 32 longitude.
