Dean was a Tropical Storm tropical cyclone that formed in the North Atlantic open waters in 2001. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 111 km/h (60 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 994 hPa tracking across the North Atlantic open waters in the North Atlantic basin (Northern Hemisphere).
