Alex was a Category 1 tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 176 km/h (95 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 946 hPa tracking across the Gulf of Mexico in the North Atlantic basin (Northern Hemisphere).
