Alex was a C2 tropical cyclone that formed in the Gulf of Mexico in 2004. The storm reached maximum sustained winds of 194 km/h (105 kt) with a minimum central pressure of 957 hPa. Tracking across the Gulf of Mexicoin the North Atlantic basin (, it potentially affected the US Gulf Coast, Mexico and Cuba. The storm traveled from approximately 30.3°-79.4° to 47.4°-32.7°, crossing a range of 17 latitude and 47 longitude.
